You will be asked to share those words during our next guided reading meeting.	The first chapter in The Matchbox is about a girl named Ginetta. The story is based about her life. Ginetta’s adventures in The Matchbox happen between 1937 and 1945. During this time a man named Benito Mussolini ruled Italy. In 1936, Italy, Germany and Japan banded together to support each other as they tried to take over the world. This was the start of World War II in 1939. Although 6 countries from all over the world tried to stop them, the war lasted for 6 years.

First Time

It was after Holiday Programme, Angelica and Waterlily had just planned to go pools. They asked if I could come but, I just remembered I was going Carl’s Jr with my brother Stani. ‘Which one should I choose?’ I chose wisely. I've been to the pools millions of times and it's kind of weird getting changed in front of everybody, plus it was raining and I didn't want to get sick. So Carl’s Jr........ HERE I COME!!

I was really excited to go, it was my first time. I had a big juicy Guacamole burger, Chips and a Drink. My brother just had sushi from Bruce Lee's Sushi Store. Once I finished the burger, I was full, I felt like I just ate 2 cheese burgers. When we got home I saw take-away at the table it looked so nice but I was so full, oh well I'll have take-away next time.

St Pius X Opening Mass 2012

Friday was a very special day, it was St Pius X Opening Mass for the year, 2012. All the classes were gathered in the church. Room 7 was leading the mass and I was in charge of the music, together with Robertanna.

After the collect prayer was the first reading. The message that I learnt from the first reading is that the more you work the more you achieve. I also learnt two new words , ‘loaf’ and ‘burden’, which means lying around doing nothing. Burden, means you are a problem or a pain.

At the end of the mass, before Father Iosefa said the final blessing, he asked the school staff to come up to the altar, so the students could bless them. Bless them for another learning year and to give them strength.

The mass was beautiful I loved every bit of it.

Welcome 2012

Again, welcome everybody to my blog, for the year 2012. I'm looking forward to sharing my work with you this year, I'm really excited for another learning year. I hope you enjoy my blog and don’t forget to comment. HAPPY BLOGGING!

What I did in Room7 was Intergrated Studies, as our new Topic. I especially knew a new word called SUBMERGED, it means underwater. But my meaning for Sinking and Floating is...

SINKING:

When you're floating, you start moving and

then you fall beneath water.

FLOATING:

Floating is staying above the surface
